Description
Did you know that the pecan is the only tree nut native to North
America? Native Americans prized pecans due to their delicious taste,
nutritional content and because they were easier to shell than other
nut species. Not much has changed as pecans remain a staple ingredient
in Southern cooking, especially desserts. The scent has a succulent
aroma that is reminiscent of fall, with notes of nuts, vanilla and
brown sugar.
